The Greatest Technician: Short Circuits, Spreading Fire and the Grace of Rama
In the morning satsanga of October 29, 2026, Swami Jyotirmayananda taught that the demoniac forces made vulnerable by faith are remedied by Rama's grace, and that short-circuited energy, like a fire that grows by burning, is corrected only by the greatest technician.

The satsanga opened with the invocation to Lord Rama of the Raghu dynasty: dark and lovely like a blue lotus, tender and delightful in appearance, with Sita seated at his left side and a powerful bow and arrow in his hands. The Hare Rama mantra followed.
Swamiji then read a poem whose refrain gathers everything into the Self. The smile of nature at dawn, the melody of spring showers, the soft whispers of the breeze, the fragrance of spring flowers: all this has been blended in me. The sweetness of compassion, the sublimity of sacrifice, the freedom of renunciation. The nirvana of the Buddha, the enlightenment of the Christ, the splendor of Sri Krishna, the glory of Sri Rama. Each verse returns to the same realization: I am "eternity and infinity."
Two Strengths, One Surrender
Taking up the Ramayana where it had left off, Swamiji named the theme plainly. Surrender to God, he said, "gives you two types of strength."
The first is shraddha, faith, represented by Hanuman. Hanuman is "unshaken by all the demoniac forces," and he burns them down. The entire setup of Lanka becomes vulnerable. Hanuman makes it vulnerable.
The second is vishwas, trust, and Angada illustrates it as divine strength. All the demoniac forces are gathered there, and all that Angada has to do is put his foot down with complete trust in God. "Nothing is impossible by God." And, Swamiji explained, "that trust expresses through that foot." All the great demons come forward, and they fail.
Made Vulnerable, Made Ready
Returning to the scene later in the session, Swamiji drew out what that vulnerability means. Hanuman made the whole city of Lanka vulnerable; Angada, by the strength of his vishwas, made all the demoniac powers vulnerable. And once vulnerable, Swamiji taught, those powers become ready to be remedied. They become ready to attain salvation.
With all their power, they are going to be killed by Rama. But that killing, Swamiji said, is "the work of divine grace." There are short circuits in energy, and Rama corrects the short circuit. The energy is not lost; it is corrected.
A Fire That Grows by Burning
To show why such energy cannot simply be managed, Swamiji turned to fire. A fire in the kitchen, he said, can be brought under control by one who is perfectly skilled. But when fire breaks out uncontrolled, the littlest flame begins to grow. When the little fire burns one thing, it has become bigger; it burns another, and it becomes bigger still.
So it is with short-circuited energy. "Short circuit can be corrected," Swamiji said, but "only by greatest technician." And that greatest technician, Swamiji concluded, is Rama.
Swamiji said the story will continue in coming sessions, and closed with a prayer for the grace of God to shower over all, followed by the Mahamrityunjaya mantra and the prayer for the welfare of all beings, ending in Om Shanti.
