The ashram in South Miami is where the archive was recorded — the talks, the scripture classes, the evening satsangs. A few minutes away stands a separate house kept for the other half of the practice — the body. Postures and breath, and the classes, workshops and training built around them.

What it is

Classes and workshops, on 102nd Avenue.

Swamiji has taught for more than sixty years that the postures are not the practice but the preparation for it — that a restless body makes a restless mind, and that the asanas exist to quiet the first so the second can be met. The building on 102nd Avenue is where that preparation is taught — a complex of several rooms of different sizes, used for different things.

The center is part of the Yoga Research Foundation — not a separate organization. It is known locally as the Integral Yoga Center, the teaching lineage is the one that runs through everything else on this site, and its class schedule lives at integralyogacenter.com.

The recorded archive stays free and always will. A class in a room with a teacher in it is a different thing from a recording, and classes at the center are paid for separately — ask about current rates when you call.
